NASA's Mars Opportunity rover is officially dead

It may be time to finally say goodbye to the Opportunity rover. The rover's team made their last attempt to contact Opportunity last night, and it went unanswered. NASA will hold a press conference at 2 p.m. ET today to discuss the results of recovery efforts since a dust storm encircled Mars last year.
