First case of Zika virus identified in Chile: media

SANTIAGO (Reuters) - A case of Zika virus has been identified on mainland Chile for the first time, local media reported on Tuesday. Citing the Chilean association of infectious diseases, broadcaster 24 Horas said the case concerned a man who had traveled to Colombia, where the virus is circulating. It is transmitted by mosquitoes. (Reporting by Santiago bureau)
