SAN ANTONIO (AP) — In an Aug. 21 story about immigrant families who were denied birth certificates for their U.S.-born children, The Associated Press reported erroneously that immigration authorities have been stopped and questioned by immigration officials about their children's immigration status. The story should have said immigrant parents have been stopped and questioned by immigration officials about their children's immigration status.
