Civil rights tour comes amid heated political climate

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — Civil rights movement veterans and U.S. Reps. Jim Clyburn and John Lewis are leading more than two dozen members of Congress on a three-day history and race relations tour of South Carolina, culminating Sunday with services at the Charleston church where nine black parishioners were gunned down last June.
