Christa Pike is 'angry and confused' and can't move her arms after failed execution
NASHVILLE – Tennessee death row inmate Christa Pike is still suffering "a lot of cognitive confusion" after regaining consciousness following her botched execution, her attorney said Oct. 7.
Attorney Randy Spivey said Pike was considered "brain dead" on Monday and the medical team was planning to remove life support the following day. But on Tuesday she woke up and began speaking.
