Brazil lawmakers authorize Rousseff impeachment trial
Brasília (AFP) - Brazilian lawmakers authorized impeachment proceedings against President Dilma Rousseff in a rowdy, circus-like showdown that plunged Latin America's biggest country into profound political crisis and sparked claims that democracy was under threat.
