Brazil arrests top lawmaker behind Rousseff impeachment: police
Brasília (AFP) - Brazilian police on Wednesday arrested Eduardo Cunha who was one of the country's most powerful lawmakers and the architect of former president Dilma Rousseff's impeachment until engulfed in corruption charges. "We can confirm that (Cunha) was detained in Brasilia," a police spokesman told AFP. G1 news site published a copy of the arrest warrant issued by the office of top Brazilian anti-corruption judge, Sergio Moro.
