Sea wheatgrass may help solve wheat virus resistance

South Dakota State University researchers have received a two-year nearly $250,000 grant from the U.S. Dept. of Agriculture’s National Institute of Food and Agriculture (USDA NIFA) to study how to build more resistance to wheat streak mosaic, which heavily impacted the wheat crop this year.
