Researchers develop disease-resistant bananas

Researchers at Australia’s Queensland University of Technology (QUT) have developed and grown genetically modified (GM) Cavendish bananas resistant to the soilborne fungus Fusarium wilt tropical race 4 (TR4), also known as Panama disease.
