FDA response too slow in food recalls

The U.S. Dept. of Health and Human Services’ Office of Inspector General (HHS OIG) released a report stating that the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is too slow to order companies to recall tainted foods, leaving people at risk of illness and death.
