New study to address training, resources for shipboard fires at South Carolina ports

VIDEO: The North Charleston City Council voted unanimously to approve a study identifying and addressing risks for onboard ship fires at Charleston Ports.The study is being funded by a grant received from the South Carolina Department of Veterans Affairs totaling $247,381.The main goal of this study is to ensure marine firefighters and port workers have the proper training and resources to act in an emergency.
