Man gets 12 years for 2021 apartment shooting, explosion that wounded Texas firefighters

The man who shot into a southeast Oak Cliff apartment in 2021, severing a gas line and causing an explosion that injured several people, including Dallas firefighters, was sentenced to 12 years in prison on Wednesday, according to the Dallas County District Attorney’s Office.Phillip Dankins, 30, was sentenced to 12 years on a drug charge and 12 years on a charge of unlawful possession of a firearm, the DA’s office said.
