Wates chief executive David Allen exits

Wates chief executive David Allen is stepping down with immediate effect after running the family-owned building contractor for the last four years.
His departure was announced to staff this morning.
Philip Wainwright, chief financial officer, will become interim CEO pending the appointment of a permanent successor.
