VolkerWessels UK rebounds with strong profits

The UK operations of Dutch group VolkerWessels have rebounded into the black with all but one of its five businesses returning strong profits after 2020’s £6.4m loss.
As work levels returned to normal last year, revenue edged forward 6% to £1.15bn, generating a £28m pre-tax profit.
