Thomas Plant buys collapsed Hawkrent in pre-pack deal

North Wales-based Thomas Plant has bought collapsed Hawkrent from administrators in a deal that will save more than 20 jobs.
RSM was appointed administrator of Hawkrent this week, which rents and leases plant machinery and site cabins.
The assets of the business were immediately sold in a pre-pack deal to Flintshire-based Thomas Holdings (North West), the parent firm of Thomas Plant Hire.Hawkrent will continue to operate at its site in Shropshire and the jobs of all 22 employees have been s
