Third of major rail enhancement projects stuck in sidings
Around one-third of the projects in the Government’s £10bn Rail Network Enhancements Pipeline have failed to advance in the three years since the 2019-2024 plan was published.
There is now deep concern among contractors and suppliers about slippage and a lack of official programme transparency.
