Swedish group buys Scottish steelwork contractor JDP

Swedish investment group Storskogen has bought an 80% stake in leading steelwork contractor J&D Pierce (Contracts).
Founded in 1975, JDP is headquartered in Glengarnock, Scotland employing 425 staff on projects across the UK.
Growth at the Ayrshire steel erector has been underpinned by the expansion of e-commerce logistics, warehouses and transport infrastructure.Last year it achieved £87m turnover generating a £13m profit last year.
