Silvertown Tunnel cutter head lowered into shaft

The Silvertown Tunnel project reached another major milestone last week as the cutter head for the Tunnel Boring Machine was lowered into the shaft.
The TBM, which measures 11.91m and is the equivalent of almost three double decker buses, is the largest diameter TBM in the UK.
