Robertson set for £42m Newcastle children’s heart unit

Newcastle council planners have approved plans for a new £42m children’s heart surgery unit at the city’s Royal Victoria Infirmary.
The three-storey paediatric cardiothoracic centre will be built on part of the infirmary’s outdoor car park and will be connected to the rest of the hospital via a footbridge.
