Roads axe hits 24 projects across England

Two dozen road projects across England have been dropped from the government’s funding programme.
The cuts tear into the future civils pipeline, with four of the biggest schemes alone carrying a combined price tag of more than £1.6bn.
The Department for Transport has not publicly published the official list but has started to write to each impacted council informing them of the cancellations.
