Road workers threatened with machetes
A campaign has been launched in Birmingham to respect road workers after civils staff were threatened with weapons including machetes, crossbows and dogs.
In the last three years 465 incidents of road worker abuse have been reported in Birmingham including a driver who threatened to chop off an operative’s head with an electric handsaw unless he was allowed through a closed road.
One worker was also shot at with a pellet gun, while another regularly receives homophobic abuse.The Expect Res
