Rayner puts freeze on 43-storey London office tower

Deputy Prime Minister Angela Rayner has stepped in to prevent the Corporation of London from granting planning for a 43-storey office tower next to the City’s Grade I-listed Bevis Marks Synagogue.
Angela Rayner threatened to block the controversial Bury House tower block application this week, which was due to go before local planners next month for a decision.
The Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government said it was restricted the granting of permission by the corporation, to
