Railpen wins consent for London major office retrofit

Railpen has secured planning approval for the redevelopment of its 12 Smithfield office building in the City of London.
The £34bn Railways Pension Scheme manager will transform the existing six-storey office opposite Smithfield Market into a flagship headquarters building as part of the wider £400m regeneration of the historic district.
Designed by Henley Halebrown, the project will retain and upgrade the existing structure while replacing the façade, extending the upper floor
