Nottingham A52 junctions overhaul gets go-ahead

Work to overhaul two of Nottingham’s most notorious bottlenecks is set to start in 2026 after the Transport Secretary signed off plans to upgrade the A52 Nottingham Knight and Wheatcroft roundabouts.
The approval follows a public inquiry triggered by National Highways’ Compulsory Purchase Order and Side Roads Order for land needed to push the scheme forward.
A Griffiths Farrans joint venture has been confirmed as main contractor and will now complete final design ahead of early works
