Morgan Sindall lands £35m Sellafield roof rescue

Morgan Sindall has secured a £35m contract to replace 28,500 sq m of failing roofing across two nuclear facilities at Sellafield in Cumbria.
The job covers the Fuel Handling Plant and Site Ion Exchange Effluent Plant, where longstanding water ingress has damaged equipment and raised fears of operational shutdowns.
Sellafield first tendered the refurbishment in 2022 at an estimated £15.5m, warning that repeated patch repairs were no longer economically or operationally viable.Morgan S
