Merseyrail backs regional builders in framework shake-up

Merseyrail has unveiled an 11-strong line-up of contractors for a new seven-year construction framework that reserves all projects worth up to £1.5m for SMEs while bringing in tier one contractors for higher-value work.
Merseyrail has divided the framework into three value bands. Regional firms Frank Rogers Building Contractor, MPH Construction, Simon Dean Electrical, SIS Projects and Vallum Projects secured places on the SME-only band.Package value
