London Mayor backs 3,000-home Beckton gasworks regeneration

London’s deputy mayor for planning has approved plans for nearly 3,000 homes at Beckton Riverside, paving the way for a £250m remediation and enabling works programme on the former gasworks site.
Berkeley Group subsidiary St William is preparing the massive clean-up operation across the derelict east London site ahead of the first homes getting underway.
