HS2 boss Mark Thurston to step down
Mark Thurston has announced he will be quitting as CEO of HS2 in September after six and a half years in the job.
Thurston will step down from his £620,000-a-year role as the project approaches peak construction.
He said: “The next 18-24 months will see the project move into an exciting new stage. I have agreed with the Board that someone else should lead the organisation and programme through what will be another defining period for HS2.”Thurston joined HS2 in March 2017
