Groundworks firm Conlon saves piling specialist

Groundworks and civils contractor Conlon Ltd has bought piling specialist Abbey Pynford.
Abbey Pynford filed a notice of intention to appoint an administrator last month but Conlon has stepped-forward to save the company as a going concern.
Conlon is based in Wiltshire and the £50m turnover business was Abbey Pynford’s biggest client.Abbey Pynford managing director Steve Wilson is no longer with the business and has joined Van Elle as a regional director.
