Green light for first women-only tower block
Ealing Council has approved plans for the country’s first women-only tower block.
Brook House in Acton, west London will be a 15-storey scheme providing 102 social rent affordable flats for single women.
The scheme is supported by Women’s Pioneer Housing, who are only one of two such specialised housing associations in the country, and social housing giant L&Q.The original estate at Brook House was built in the 1930s, with additional homes and blocks built in the 70s.
