Green light for £100m Liverpool Baltic station build

Plans for a new £100m rail station in Liverpool’s Baltic Triangle have been approved, paving the way for construction to begin early in 2026.
Liverpool City Council has granted planning permission for the landmark scheme, which will extend the Merseyrail Northern Line into one of the UK’s fastest-growing creative and digital quarters.
Highways works around the site are due to get underway this autumn ahead of the main station build, with the new stop expected to open by the end
