Go-ahead for Glasgow 36-floor student tower

Developer/contractor Watkin Jones has got the green light from planners to build a high-rise student flats block on the site of a former tax office in Glasgow.At 114m high, the building known as the Ard, will be the second tallest building in the city behind The Glasgow Tower at the science centre.Designed by Hawkins Brown, the Ard scheme will consist of two buildings of 36-storeys and 10-storeys, providing over 780 student bedrooms.
