Go-ahead for £850m North London estate rebuild

Ambitious plans to redevelop a North London estate in Edmonton with 2,000 new homes have got the go-ahead.
Enfield Council now aims to enter a contract with a principal contractor in the autumn for the phased redevelopment of the Joyce Avenue and Snell’s Park Estates.
Over a 20-year period, 795 homes will be replaced by the new homes, half of which will be genuinely affordable.The entire redevelopment, which includes a community centre, nursery, energy centre, parks and landscaping, is exp
