GMI lands latest £42m phase of lab cluster

GMI Construction has won a £42m life sciences lab and office workspace deal at the Citylabs development in Manchester.
Work has now started on the 125,000 sq ft, seven-storey scheme called Citylabs 4.0 for developer Bruntwood SciTech.
Enabling works started on site early this year and GMI will be working on the Sheppard Robson-designed development with Arup, Hilson Moran, Gardiner and Theobald, and Layers. It is expected to open in Spring 2025.Marc Banks, Divisional Managing Director of GM
