FM Conway revenue soars to near £500m

Highway contractor FM Conway has celebrated its 60th year with a 40% hike in revenue to £478m.
The growth was driven by both its acquisition of surfacing contractor Toppesfield in March 2021 and strong organic growth at the aggregate and asphalt business.
But pre-tax profit performance slid to £17m in the year to April 2022 from £20m before.
Toppesfield contributed £126m of revenue and £7.4m operating profit.
