Five firms win £450m Scottish electricity network upgrade

Energy company SSEN Distribution has confirmed the winners of a £450m deal to improve the north of Scotland’s local electricity networks.
Work will see the existing network of wooden poles and overhead lines renewed and reinforced, substations updated, and improvements made to the underground network.
