Epic 8-month HS2 viaduct deck slide completes – video

Engineers have completed an 8-month long mammoth uphill slide of the 3,700-tonne Wendover Dean viaduct deck in Buckinghamshire.The deck, which stretches for 450m, was assembled in three stages, ranging from 90m to 180m, with each one pushed out from the north abutment before the next section was bolted on behind it.
