Deconstruct handed £12m Grenfell demolition

The contractor charged with managing and maintaining the the structural integrity of Grenfell tower has been handed the £12.25m job carefully to dismantle the building.
The Government awarded Deconstruct (UK) the deal without competition under a contract variation, citing technical reasons and the risk of delays and higher costs if a new contractor were brought in.
