Contractors struggling to keep-up with demand for data centres

Contractors are struggling to keep-up with the surging demand for new and retrofitted data centres.
Research from consultant Rider Levett Bucknall (RLB) found that 70% of data centre specialists quizzed  believe the supply chain is struggling to keep pace while 53% fear that the sector will be unable to meet capacity demands.
The report said demand for new data centres has surged 300% since 2023 while the market for data centre retrofits is also expanding rapidly.
