Contractors courted for £1.7bn London DLR extension job

Transport for London has started market engagement for the planned £1.7bn Docklands Light Railway extension to Thamesmead.
The 3km line will branch off from Gallions Reach in the Royal Dock area and run on a viaduct through Beckton Riverside before diving into a 1.5km twin-bore tunnel under the Thames to reach a new elevated station in Thamesmead town centre.
