Chinese super embassy plan edges closer to go-ahead

China’s plan to build a super-sized embassy on the site of the Royal Mint in London have edged closer to winning approval after the Metropolitan Police withdrew its objections.
The force had previously raised concerns about containing potential protests which could spill into the busy roads around the site and nearby Tower of London.
