Chancellor Kwasi Kwarteng sacked – replaced by Jeremy Hunt

Kwasi Kwarteng has been sacked as Chancellor of the Exchequer after 38 days in the job and been replaced by Jeremy Hunt.
In a letter to prime minister Liz Truss Kwarteng said: “You have asked me to stand aside as your Chancellor. I have accepted.
