Bids due in for BBC’s £200m new Birmingham home

Developer Stoford has lined up three contractors to submit bids by next week to deliver the BBC’s new Birmingham home at the historic Typhoo Tea Building in Digbeth.
The winning bidder of the two-stage process will be selected within the next few weeks.
It is understood that ISG, which has been in talks around construction details prior to planning being submitted last month, is no longer in the running.
Subject to receiving planning permission shortly, demolition is expected to start with
