Approved change to concrete ‘recipe’ to slash carbon emissions
One of the most significant changes to the traditional ‘recipe’ for making concrete since the 1980s is set to be introduced in the UK, helping engineers to further decarbonise construction.
Changes to standards for concrete have been published by BSI and could save 1 million tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions each year if adopted across all UK construction sites.
