Algeco secures £34m order for quick-build prison cells

Modular specialist Algeco is playing a key role on a new Government programme to install temporary prison cells that can be built and rolled-out at speed in order to boost jail capacity.
The firm has been awarded two deals totalling nearly £34m to build the first generation of Rapid Deployment Cells forming part of the wider programme to install 1,000 cells at 18 prison sites, the majority delivered this year.
