‘Affordable’ HS2 Crewe to Euston plan submitted to Treasury

The industry’s High Speed Rail Group has submitted outline plans to the Treasury to rescope the HS2 project to unlock maximum economic benefit within a constrained budget.
The plan to rescope HS2 to a “Euston-Crewe core” would accelerate delivery, and ensure a substantial financial return to the Treasury, while recognising current fiscal constraints.
