£100m Darlington Station revamp enabling works start

Work has just begun to prepare the first buildings alongside Darlington railway station for demolition, paving the way for its £100m-plus redevelopment.
Demolition contractor Thompsons will “soft strip” properties to the east of the station before heavy demolition begins in September.
