U.S. House Votes to Remove Confederate Statues from the Capitol
On June 29th, the House of Representatives voted to remove Confederate statues from the Capitol building. The H.R. 3005 Bill passed by a vote of 285-120.
Last July, a similar bill passed through the House, but not in the Senate, which had a GOP majority at the time. The Bill stipulates that the Capitol’s architect Brett Blaton identify Confederate statues.
