Museums Throughout Germany Shutter In Response to Coronavirus

Earlier this week, German chancellor Angela Merkel said that the coronavirus could affect 70 percent of the country’s citizens, adding that she will begin instituting measures to mitigate its spread. Now, the Bavarian ministry for Science and the Arts has recommended on March 14 that art institutions across Germany, where over 2,000 cases of the virus have been confirmed as of Friday, remain closed to the public until April 20.
