Alan Rath, Maker of Innovative Kinetic Sculptures Guided by Software, Has Died at 60
Alan Rath, the influential Bay Area artist known for his pioneering electronic sculptures, died on October 27. He was 60. The San Francisco Chronicle reported that his gallerist Dianne Dec, who curated exhibitions of his work at Hosfelt Gallery in San Francisco, the cause was complications from a rare form of multiple sclerosis.
